Core Responsibilities
-
Color Tinting & Mixing: Operate computerized paint-mixing machinery and spectrophotometers to produce custom paint, stain, and finish formulas.

Customer Consultation: Advise shoppers on appropriate primers, paint sheens (flat, satin, semi-gloss), coverage estimates, and essential application tools like brushes, rollers, and sprayers.

Department Merchandising: Restock shelves with paint cans and sundries, build promotional displays, and keep aisles organized and clean.

Safety & Equipment Care: Maintain and calibrate tinting machines, handle paint pails safely, and clean chemical spills according to OSHA safety standards.
Responsibilities

Mixing paint, Colour matching, Colour research to continuously improve service.
2. Keeping accurate records of paints mixed using relevant software.
3. Keeping work area & tools/equipment in a clean and tidy manner
4. Preparing Reports as required for Management to review
5. Respond to all emails in a timely manner.
6. Support Sales Associates & Customers to ensure a smooth business process.

Requirements
Qualifications & Physical Requirements

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and repeatedly lift heavy containers, including 5-gallon paint pails (up to 50 lbs).

Technical Literacy: Basic computer proficiency to operate tinting software and inventory lookups.

Color Perception: Strong visual accuracy for distinguishing color hues and matching customer samples.

Education & Experience: Secondary school diploma; prior experience in retail, customer service, or painting preferred.
Salary
Salary Range is $6,500 to $8,000 for an 8 hour working day.
