GTNova Freight and Logistics is a growing freight and logistics company providing reliable shipping and logistics solutions to customers locally and internationally.

We are looking for a Freight Handling & Processing Clerk to join our Operations Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, sorting, organizing, processing, and preparing customer packages and freight for shipment while ensuring that all items are handled accurately and efficiently.

This is a hands-on operational position. The successful candidate should be comfortable working around packages and freight for extended periods and performing duties that may involve standing, walking, lifting, bending, and moving shipments.

The position requires flexibility in working hours based on flight schedules, shipment arrivals, customer pickups, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming packages and freight.

  • Sort packages according to customer, destination, shipment type, and other established procedures.

  • Verify package labels, customer information, tracking numbers, and shipment documentation.

  • Accurately record and update package information.

  • Measure and weigh packages and freight as required.

  • Identify and report damaged, improperly packaged, mislabeled, or unidentified shipments.

  • Ensure packages are properly organized and secured for transportation.

  • Prepare shipment manifests and other documents.

  • Assist with loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently.

  • Move packages and freight within the designated processing area.

  • Ensure customer packages are handled with care and in accordance with company procedures.

  • Assist with inventory counts and package reconciliation.

  • Verify that all packages received are properly accounted for.

  • Report discrepancies, missing packages, damaged goods, or other concerns to the Office Manager.

  • Work closely with the Service Team to ensure shipments are processed efficiently.

  • Perform other duties related to freight and logistics operations as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving, courier, freight, or logistics environment is an asset.

  • Previous experience handling packages or freight is an asset.

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software and tracking systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Professional and courteous attitude.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and move packages and freight.

  • Reliability and punctuality are essential.

  • Can work on a flexible schedule and late hours when required.

Salary

  • Monthly 150,000 GYD
